Dubai Municipality sets new world record for best governance practices
International assessment praises governance, AI and digital transformation
DUBAI – The Dubai Municipality has been officially recognised by Official World Record (OWR) for implementing best practices and governance standards, marking a significant milestone in its drive for institutional excellence.
The achievement follows an extensive international assessment of its governance and operational framework. It further reinforces Dubai's reputation as a global leader in innovation, quality public services and future-focused government.
The recognition was awarded after an international panel of experts and auditors evaluated Dubai Municipality against globally recognised standards covering governance, quality management, risk management, business continuity, innovation, digital transformation and the responsible use of artificial intelligence.

According to Dubai Municipality, the achievement reflects its long-term commitment to strengthening institutional performance through an integrated governance framework. The approach supports operational excellence, encourages service innovation and advances sustainable development while enhancing the quality of life for residents and visitors across Dubai.
The Municipality said adopting international standards has improved organisational performance and delivered a more efficient customer experience.
